TOCQUEVILLE SOCIETY

What is the Tocqueville Society?

Inspired by Alexis de Tocqueville’s admiration for American civic engagement, the Tocqueville Society celebrates philanthropic leaders and volunteers who contribute $10,000 or more annually to address the community’s most pressing challenges.

Since its establishment in 1984, the Society has grown into a global movement, with 400 chapters worldwide and nearly 25,000 members who raise more than $529 million annually. As a member, you’ll be part of a legacy of generosity that drives positive change and strengthens communities through collective giving.

Members of the Tocqueville Society embody the spirit of neighbors helping neighbors. By dedicating your resources to solving the most pressing challenges in our communities, you become a part of a global movement of compassionate leaders.
