why it matters
In 2021 alone, there were 354 emergency room visits for suicide ideation, and 61.6% of those visits were made by someone age 30 or younger. At the same time, drug-related overdose deaths have increased by 147% over recent years, placing Florence County among the highest-risk counties in the state for opioid-related deaths.
Families, service providers, and residents shared the same message during our community conversations: our community needs better awareness, better access, and better support for behavioral health.

OUR PARTNERS IN THIS WORK

CARE House provides trauma-informed advocacy, counseling, and forensic services for children who have experienced abuse, helping families begin the healing process with compassion and support.

Circle Park offers prevention, intervention, and treatment services for substance use and behavioral health challenges, supporting individuals and families on their path to recovery.
