APPLICATION REPORTING RESOURCES

At United Way of Florence County, we believe impact should be more than a promise; it should be something you can see and measure. That’s why our application process now includes core components of the Results-Based Accountability framework. By focusing on clear results, we can better understand what’s working, what’s changing, and how together we can strengthen Florence County.

RBA helps everyone stay focused on results, not just effort, so programs can improve, communities can thrive, and funding is used in the most effective way possible.

is anyone

what is results-based accountability?

Results-Based Accountability (RBA) is a straightforward way for organizations and communities to measure whether the work they’re doing is actually making a difference. Instead of focusing on activities or paperwork, RBA asks three basic questions:

HOW WE USE RESULTS-BASED ACCOUNTABILITY

United Way of Florence County uses RBA to make sure donor dollars create real impact. We use this framework to track progress on our community-wide goals and to see which organizations can make the biggest difference in tackling Florence County’s most urgent needs.

By looking at how well a nonprofit runs its programs, and whether those programs have a significant impact on the people they serve, we can better understand how each organization fits into the bigger picture of creating lasting, positive change in our community.

TRAINING RESOURCES

Explore the resources from our January 27, 2025 RBA training below. During the session, Holly Hayes, President of ISI Consulting, walked local agencies through the core principles of RBA, showing how to measure program impact in clear, meaningful ways. She also gathered feedback on the metrics United Way of Florence County will use moving forward to strengthen transparency, alignment, and accountability across our community.
