WHAT WE DO

WHAT DOES UNITED WAY OF FLORENCE COUNTY DO?

Every United Way operates a little differently, tailoring its programs and partnerships to the unique needs of the communities it serves. Here in Florence County, our focus is on strengthening local families, expanding access to essential resources, and supporting the nonprofits that make our region stronger. Below are the core initiatives and services United Way of Florence County provides to create lasting, meaningful change right here at home.

Grant Funding

We strategically invest funds in nonprofits across Florence County that provide services in youth development, mental health, substance abuse, emergency housing, home repairs, and rent and utility assistance. This year, we pledged $475,000 to local nonprofits, and are constantly working to ensure our donor dollars go where they can make the greatest impact in the community.
