Title: Project Management Intern

Time Commitment: Between 10-20 hours per week

Reports To: President

​

POSITION SUMMARY

​

The scope of this internship involves planning and preparing for United Way’s Day of Caring, a mass volunteer event held annually in September that is being reimagined. The internship will span from May to August.  

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF POSITION

​

  • Exploring the feasibility of taking on home repair projects for community members

    • Researching legal requirements

    • Providing cost estimates

    • Preparing recommendations to mitigate United Way’s liability and cost

  • Establishing partnerships with key representatives, such as building material suppliers and contractors

  • Soliciting projects from community members and ensuring that all necessary information is obtained for project completion

  • Organizational and problem-solving skills.
