INTRODUCTION

Community members, local businesses and golfers gathered at The Country Club of South Carolina on Wednesday, May 20, for Field Fastener’s 4th Annual Golf Playday to Improve Lives, raising $24,000 for United Way of Florence County.

“This is always one of those days we look forward to because it brings together so many people who care about this community. We’re grateful for every team, sponsor and volunteer who helped make this year’s Playday a success." said Richard “Rich” Rowlett, General Manager at Field Fastener.
He continued, “It’s a fun day of golf, but at the heart of it, it’s about giving back and supporting the work United Way is doing for families across Florence County. Seeing the event continue to grow and knowing those dollars will stay right here in the community makes it really special.”

For United Way of Florence County, Golf Playday is about more than a day on the course. It is one more way we can bring people together to help address some of our community’s most pressing needs, including youth opportunity, community health and financial security. Every dollar raised helps us invest more deeply in Florence County through nonprofit grants and direct services, including our Barriers to Employment program.

“We’re incredibly grateful to Field Fastener for continuing to champion this event and for bringing so many businesses, teams and community members together in support of Florence County,” said Cameron Campbell, President of United Way of Florence County. “Every sponsor, player and volunteer helped turn a fun day on the course into real support for programs and partnerships that impact individuals and families across our community.”
