Luke Carter, Jr.

Luke Carter is an associate attorney at Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd and primarily practices in local government and corporate law. Luke received his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law and Bachelor’s degree from Wofford College. Luke was a kicker at Wofford College and holds the NCAA FCS record for most PATs made in a career without a miss. While in law school, he was the Senior Article Editor of the Journal of Law & Education. Luke is a native of Florence and a graduate of Wilson High School. After clerking for Circuit Court Judge J. Mark Hayes II in Spartanburg, Luke returned to Florence in August of 2024 looking for ways to serve the community that he grew up in. Luke is excited to have found United Way of Florence County to help facilitate this passion. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his dog, Moo.
