Position Title: Director of Resource Development             

Reports To: President

Salary: Starting at $50,000     

 

Director of Resource Development

 

The Director of Resource Development contributes to the achievement of United Way of Florence County’s mission and vision by developing and organizing the overall planning and implementation of new and existing resource development strategies.

 

The primary focus of this position is to:

  • Maximize giving through workplace campaigns, individual donations, and sponsorships

    • Establish and strengthen relationships with donors, employers, and the community as a whole to build donor loyalty, increase resources, and ensure a positive brand experience

    • Speak on behalf of United Way to local companies about workplace campaigns and community impact

    • Assist in the training of local company coordinators to implement and run successful workplace campaigns

    • Lead cultivation, recruitment, training, and coordination of resource development committee

  • Perform grant research, application, and management

  • Provide accurate data entry, tracking, and reporting

 

This outward-facing role will require the candidate to be a leader who has a demonstrated ability to build strong, mutually beneficial relationships. This individual should be self-motivated and have the self-discipline to manage United Way’s annual campaign and carry out other responsibilities.

  • Advanced interpersonal skills and presentation skills

  • Ability to review and interpret reports and graphs

  • Goal setting, organizational, and problem-solving skills as evidenced by the ability to work independently

  • Technology and data entry

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.  Minimum of three years experience in sales or fundraising with nonprofit organization experience preferred. Prior grant writing experience preferred.
