The United Way of Florence County is a 501 (c3) non-profit that has been a cornerstone of the social service sector in Florence County for over 65 years.
Our mission is to positively impact the needs of our community by strengthening relationships, programs, and services that produce measurable results and improve the quality of life and to be recognized as the leading health and human services support agency in the Pee Dee through resource development and community impact initiatives.

FEMA Funds Available for Eligible Nonprofits
The Florence County local FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) Board will receive two award amounts of federal funds through the CARES Act and Phase 37.
This funding is designed for nonprofit agencies only. Individuals are not eligible to receive this funding.
Under terms of the grant from the National FEMA Board, local government or private voluntary organizations must be nonprofit, have a proper accounting system, practice nondiscrimination and demonstrate the capability to deliver emergency food or shelter programs to be eligible to receive funds.
To receive funds, qualifying organizations must apply by June 5th.
