Utilities continued to be the number one need for the month of December. Total referrals were 372, and 187 were for electric assistance. Compared to last month, total referrals decreased by 59.

There were a total of 431 referrals for the month of November. 290 of those referrals stemmed from within the city of Florence, while Lake City was the next area with the most referrals with 31.

Electrical assistance continued to be the greatest need for the month of October. 225 out of 338 total referrals were for electrical assistance. The next greatest need was for rent assistance.

For the month of September, the greatest need was electrical assistance and rent assistance  Referrals topped out at 185. However, this is a decrease compared to last month. 

For the month of August, total referrals to 211 decreased 2% and total calls decreased 29%. However, website visits increased 25%. We are still seeing rent and utilities assistance as the greatest need in Florence County.

So far this year, data shows an increase in need for food and job security. A spike in average daily calls occurred late March, and continues to rise for the month of July.

For the month of July, there were 114 calls and 291 referrals. 39% of those referrals were for rent assistance. 

For the month of June, the top needs in Florence County were rent and utilities with monthly referrals topping out at 226 for the year.

For the month of May, phone calls and referrals decreased but website visits increased. The top needs for the month were electric, rent, and shelter. 

During the 30 day span from March 15th to April 14th, 211 traffic increased dramatically. Of that traffic, calls increased 118%, website visits increased 78%, and referrals made increased 58% compared to 2019 statistics.

During the month of March, food pantries and electric bills were the most requested needs. Out of the 117 calls handled, 51 referrals were made to The Salvation Army, and 31 were made to Pee Dee Community Action Partnership.
