Carolinas Hospital System to Host Golf Tournament Fundraiser for United Way
Carolinas Hospital System will host the 2nd Annual United Way of Florence County Golf Tournament on Friday, September 29, 2017 at the Country Club of South Carolina. The money raised by the tournament will be donated to the United Way of Florence County in support of their 2017-2018 annual campaign.
"Carolinas Hospital System is proud to support the United Way this year," said Loren Rials, United Way of Florence County Board Member and Chief Financial Officer for Carolinas Hospital System. "The United Way of Florence County is a great organization that continues to fund several important not-for-profit organizations that serve the Florence County area. Our hospital truly believes in the work and mission of the United Way of Florence County."
The United Way of Florence County partners with and financially supports seventeen local non-profit agencies that provide programs that are making a difference in the lives of Florence County residents. Through their federated fundraising efforts during their 2016-2017 annual campaign, the United Way of Florence County ensured that $766,000 worth of services were available in the health, youth, education, emergency services, financial stability, and special needs sectors of our community.
This year's tournament will begin with a lunch provided by Big D's B-B-Q Barn from 11:30am to 12:15pm followed by a shotgun start at 12:30pm.
Individuals interested in participating will need to create a team of four members. Each team will receive lunch, 4 Mulligans, and 4 "throws" per member. Hole #17 will have a long drive contest from the green tees and all par 3's will be closest to the pins; with a chance to win $10,000 with a Hole-In-One on Hole #7 provided by Richard Skipper State Farm. The cost per team is $400 and hole sign sponsorships are also available for $250.
